Desde mi temprana edad, con tu música me enseñaste a querer el instrumento, abrazarla con corazón, a vivir de manera intensa con ella, e incluso a llorar con esas grandes composiciones de emociones contenidas en forma de música y legado, ese talento puro, humilde y sereno que te caracterizó, marcastes un listón muy; pero que muy alto en el mundo de los mortales, cruzaste mares para unir instrumentos y culturas, hombre de pocas palabras sencillo y solitario, tu idioma Universal reflejado en ricas armonías de notas y ritmos llenos de vida, elevaste a lo mas alto del Universo el flamenco puro y moderno a la vez, supiste adaptarte a los tiempos al lado de los mejores, siempre mejorando lo presente, tu increíble sabiduría era innata en ti, fuiste el elegido...
Cumplí por fin el sueño de poder oírte un 26 de Junio de 2004, hace casi 10 años ya, en la Plaza de Toros de Granada con tus "COSITAS BUENAS", efectivamente puede comprobar de primera mano todo lo suscrito hoy aquí, llegue a llorar de emoción, por un sueño cumplido, de vivir y oír al mas grande entre los grandes genios de la guitarra, desde las primeras filas, como "niño con zapatos nuevos" al que no le quita ojo de encima, así lo viví....
Día triste para todos los que tanto te admiramos a lo largo del tiempo, y no olvidaremos...

Descansa en Paz, Maestro....

Una grabación en vivo es un lujo, puedes sentir la respiración de los músicos que están a tu lado, es espontáneo, festivo, te lo pasas bien.
A veces hay fallos, pero te encuentras en un estado de excitación, en el que la adrenalina te ayuda a encontrar soluciones, casi siempre sorpresivas y que a veces superan la composición original. Lo que sucede es real.
La energía que se crea en el escenario nunca se conseguiría en un estudio de grabación. Allí te puedes acercar a la perfección, pero el alma de la música, es más probable que aparezca en un directo..."
